Material Composition ABS plug-in module housing High-gain operational amplifier circuit SPDT output relay Sensitivity adjustment potentiometer Socket base Glass status LED

Structural Features Small rectangular plug-in module. Front status LED indicates flame present state. Bottom pins insert into the socket base. Sensitivity adjustment potentiometer accessible through a small front access hole. Socket base mounts directly on DIN rail.

Working Principle The UV flame detector connects to the module input terminals. The weak UV sensor signal passes through a high-gain operational amplifier circuit, scaling to a level sufficient to trigger the internal output relay. When the amplified signal confirms real flame, the relay contacts close, sending a flame present signal to the burner control system. When UV signal disappears, the relay opens to trigger flameout alarm. The potentiometer adjusts amplifier gain, setting the sensitivity threshold. Internal circuit failure defaults to contact open, triggering safe flameout state.

Installation Requirements Mount the socket base on the DIN rail. Wire detector, supply and burner control contacts to the socket terminals. Plug the amplifier module into the socket. Power up, adjust sensitivity via the potentiometer, confirm stable flame signal.

Usage Notes Plug-in modules must be fully seated in the socket, loose pins cause intermittent flame signal. Never set sensitivity so high that ambient light triggers the relay. When replacing the module, use a matched 04230-A-1001 unit; non-equivalent modules change safety timing. Do not mount the module near high-voltage ignition transformers, EMI causes false flame signals.
