Functional Features It converts AC mains power into isolated, ripple-suppressed DC voltage for the rack backplane bus. It supports load sharing parallel operation with an identical redundant power supply module. It provides continuous power for control processor boards, LCN interface cards and I/O paddle cards. It implements overvoltage shutdown, overcurrent limiting, short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown. It carries front panel LED indicators for AC input status, DC output status and internal fault alarm. It supports hot swap replacement under redundant power configuration. It suppresses input surge and transient voltage disturbance. It uploads power failure, over-temperature and output fault signals to TDC 3000 operator stations. It maintains stable output voltage under specified input fluctuation range.

Material Composition Powder-coated metal power enclosure High-frequency transformer and rectifier circuit assembly Power MOSFET switching components Electrolytic and film smoothing capacitors Current and temperature sensing circuit Internal aluminum heat sink for thermal dissipation Front panel with status LED indicators and extraction handle Pluggable AC input terminal block with protective earth pin
Structural Features Standard TDC 3000 plug-in power supply module form factor. Front panel integrates AC input terminal group, multi-color status LED indicators and extraction handle. Internal layout separates high-voltage AC input zone and low-voltage DC output zone with reinforced insulation barrier. Built-in aluminum heat sink transfers heat from power switching components to cabinet air flow. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion into rack slot. Locking clip secures module firmly after installation. Internal shielding structure reduces switching noise interference to adjacent control and communication cards.
Working Principle AC input power passes through front terminal block and enters the input surge filter circuit. High-frequency switching circuit converts AC power into isolated DC voltage. Regulation circuit maintains fixed 5VDC and 12VDC output for the rack backplane bus. When load current exceeds rated value or short-circuit condition occurs, current limiting circuit cuts off output immediately. When internal temperature exceeds threshold, thermal protection circuit triggers shutdown. In redundant configuration, two power modules share rack load equally. If one module fails, the second module takes over full rack power supply without interruption of control operation.
Installation Requirements Cut off upstream AC power before installation. Wear anti-static wrist strap during module handling. Insert module into dedicated power slot of TDC 3000 rack and lock extraction handle after full seating. Connect AC power cable to input terminal block and complete reliable protective earth grounding. Configure redundant power mode in TDC 3000 engineering software. Restore AC power and verify DC output LED status. Test single power supply failure by disconnecting one AC input in redundant rack configuration. Confirm all rack modules remain online during the test.
Usage Notes Do not connect input voltage beyond 120/240VAC rated range. Reserve sufficient ventilation space around the power module heat sink. Clean accumulated dust on heat sink periodically to prevent over-temperature shutdown. Do not remove protective earth wire. Do not replace internal capacitor or power switching components by unauthorized personnel.
