Functional Features It provides accurate impedance matching for the end of LCN coaxial bus segment. It suppresses high-speed signal reflection at cable termination point. It reduces communication packet error caused by signal reflection. It is directly pluggable into spare LCN port at the end of bus trunk. It protects internal resistor from mechanical damage and dust. It maintains stable impedance characteristic under normal operating temperature range. It is required for all LCN trunk segment terminals.
Application Scenarios End termination of TDC3000 LCN A trunk bus End termination of TDC3000 LCN B trunk bus LCN network cabinet internal bus termination Large petrochemical plant TDC3000 LCN network Refinery TDC3000 redundant LCN network

- Impedance Consistency: 75Ω ±1% across operating temperature range
Material Composition Precision metal film resistor LCN dedicated coaxial connector Flame retardant UL94 V-0 plastic housing Internal connecting wire Strain relief structure for connector joint
Structural Features Small cylindrical plug form factor. Internal precision resistor connects directly between coaxial signal pin and shielding shell. Plastic housing encapsulates resistor component fully. Connector shell matches standard LCN port mechanical dimension. Compact design allows installation inside narrow cabinet wiring space.
Working Principle At the end of LCN coaxial cable, the termination resistor connects signal conductor and shielding layer. The 75Ω resistor matches the characteristic impedance of LCN coaxial cable. High-speed signal energy is absorbed by resistor instead of reflecting back along the cable. Signal waveform distortion and communication bit error are eliminated.
Installation Requirements Locate the final spare LCN port at the end of LCN trunk segment. Insert the termination resistor assembly into the port and tighten connector nut gently. Confirm that only one termination resistor is installed at each end of a LCN trunk segment. Do not install extra termination resistor at intermediate nodes. Verify LCN network communication status after installation.
Usage Notes Do not install termination resistor at both ends of short branch cable. Do not use ordinary resistor to replace this dedicated LCN termination assembly. Avoid pulling the assembly by plastic housing. Replace the assembly when internal resistor is open circuit or resistance drifts out of tolerance.
