Honeywell 620-0073C

Product Introduction 620-0073C is a dedicated redundancy communication cable assembly for Honeywell TDC3000 controller redundant pairs. It is used to connect the primary and standby control processors of PM or APM controllers. It transmits synchronization state, control database, fault handshake and real-time backup data between two redundant controllers, realizing bumpless automatic switchover when the primary controller fails. It is a necessary accessory for redundant controller configuration in TDC3000 TPS systems.

Description

Honeywell 620-0073C

Technical Specifications Differential signal twisted pair shielded cable; characteristic impedance matched with TDC3000 controller redundancy interface; fixed length customized assembly with pre-terminated connectors; signal transmission rate matches controller backplane synchronization bus; operating temperature -20℃ to 70℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; shield single-point grounding design; cable jacket has oil resistance and abrasion resistance property.

Functional Features It transmits real-time control database synchronization data between primary and standby controllers. It carries fault diagnosis and handshaking signals for redundant logic judgment. It maintains state consistency of two controllers so that standby unit can take over control without disturbance. It uses differential transmission to resist electromagnetic interference in control room environment. The pre-terminated connectors ensure reliable plug and play without on-site crimping.

Application Scenarios Redundant PM controller interconnection in refinery TDC3000 cabinets; APM batch controller redundancy link in chemical plants; spare replacement cable for TPS redundant control nodes; upgrade project of legacy DCS redundant controller pairs.

Performance Parameters Signal transmission delay is fixed and meets the requirement of bumpless switchover; shield attenuation suppresses electromagnetic interference from adjacent power and signal cables; connector contact resistance remains stable under long-term vibration; cable bending life meets cabinet maintenance operation requirements.

Material Composition Conductor material is tinned copper; insulation layer uses low-loss high-frequency plastic; shielding layer is braided copper mesh; outer jacket is oil-resistant and flame-retardant PVC; connector shell is metal with nickel plating; internal pin terminals are gold-plated.

Structural Characteristics Whole set finished cable assembly with two dedicated circular connectors at both ends; cable body is flexible for routing inside the rack; connectors have locking bayonet structure to prevent loose caused by vibration; marking label printed with Honeywell part number and production batch.

Working Principle The differential signal pair inside the cable transmits synchronization data and handshake commands between primary and standby processors. The primary controller continuously copies the real-time control logic state, point values and alarm information to the standby controller through this link. When the primary controller self-detects a fatal fault, the link sends switchover command, and the standby controller immediately switches to primary operation mode.

Installation Requirements Route the cable inside the TDC3000 controller rack without sharp bending. Lock both end connectors completely after plugging in. Do not bundle the redundancy cable together with high-current AC power cables. Keep the cable away from fan air outlet vibration areas. Complete cabinet single-point shielding grounding according to drawing.

Usage Notes Do not use ordinary twisted pair cable to replace this dedicated assembly. Check connector pins for bending or corrosion before installation. Do not pull the cable by grasping the connector. Test redundant switchover function after cable replacement.
