Material Composition Multilayer FR4 PCB, Ethernet PHY transceiver chip, protocol FPGA, high-speed optocoupler isolation array, TVS surge protection components, gold-plated RJ45 connectors, gold-plated backplane edge connector, UL94 V0 plastic front panel.
Structural Features Standard eurocard plug-in dimension compatible with IPC620 rack. Two RJ45 ports and corresponding LED indicators arranged on front panel. Internal isolation barrier separates backplane logic circuit and Ethernet network circuit. Anti-keying notch prevents mis-insertion into analog I/O slots. Differential Ethernet traces are impedance controlled at 100 ohm.
Working Principle The module receives read/write commands from upper network host through RJ45 port. FPGA chip converts network protocol frames into I/O Link bus frames and exchanges data with IPC620 CPU. Process data and alarm events from CPU are packaged into network frames and sent to remote host. Link monitoring circuit detects cable disconnection and remote device offline state, and uploads fault information to CPU.
Installation Requirements Use industrial shielded Ethernet cable for external network wiring. Single-point grounding for cable shield at cabinet side. Assign unique IP address in configuration software before commissioning. Separate network cables and high voltage power cables in cable tray. Test link communication and tag refresh rate after power on.
Usage Notes This module only supports Honeywell IPC dedicated communication protocol. Network storm will cause communication delay and tag refresh lag. Do not connect office IT network directly to this control network port. Damaged RJ45 metal shrapnel leads to intermittent communication dropout.
