Description
Honeywell 620-6300
Technical Specifications
- Input power: 24 V DC, 10 A rated input current
- Output branch count: 8 independently protected output circuits
- Per-branch rated current: 2 A
- Protection element: Resettable electronic fuse, automatic current limiting on overload
- Branch indication: 1 green LED per branch, illuminates when output is normal
- Terminal rating: For 0.5–2.5 mm² cables
- Operating temperature: 0 °C to +60 °C
- Relative humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing
Functional Features Input reverse polarity protection, blocks power flow if supply is reversed, prevents downstream load damage. Per-branch independent electronic overcurrent protection, automatically limits current on overload, resumes power automatically after fault removal. On-board LED per branch indicates output power status, simplifies branch-level fault troubleshooting. Branch output isolation, single branch short circuit does not pull down the main power bus voltage. On-board EMI filter circuit, suppresses high-frequency noise coupled from power lines into connected sensors. Reserved mounting position for emergency power disconnect switch at the input side.
Application Scenarios Cabinet internal sensor and transmitter power distribution Solenoid valve, intermediate relay coil branch power supply Legacy control cabinet scattered terminal power wiring upgrades for better fault isolation Skid-mounted equipment cabinet power management units Non-intrinsically safe power distribution branches for plant-side cabinets

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant PCB substrate High-current power copper traces Resettable electronic fuse components Schottky reverse protection diode Green through-hole indicator LEDs TVS surge suppression diodes Tin-plated copper alloy screw terminals Metal shielded mounting enclosure
Structural Features Long rectangular metal enclosure, designed for DIN rail mounting inside the cabinet. Front face arranges output terminals and corresponding status LEDs for each branch. Side position houses the high-current input terminal block. Full metal shielding reduces electromagnetic radiation from power circuits. Silk-screen labeling clearly marks input positive, negative and per-branch output numbers.
Working Principle Cabinet main 24 V DC power connects to the input terminals, passes through reverse polarity protection diode and EMI filter circuit, then distributes to 8 independent resettable fuse branches. The resettable fuse on each branch continuously monitors output current; when current exceeds threshold, the circuit automatically limits current to the affected branch. Output parallel LEDs indicate live output status. TVS components absorb surge spikes on the power line, protecting downstream sensors and actuators from overvoltage damage.
Installation Requirements Use cable gauge matched to 10 A input rating, minimum 2.5 mm² for input wiring, terminate securely. Distribute total load across branches so no single branch exceeds 2 A rating. Connect the metal enclosure to the cabinet protective ground bar. Mount the unit away from heat-generating components, maintain clear ventilation airflow. Measure output voltage per branch after power-up, confirm stable 24 V DC output.
Usage Notes If a branch repeatedly triggers overcurrent protection, locate and repair the short circuit on that branch before restoring power, do not force repeated power-up. Metal enclosure damage must be replaced promptly to prevent exposed live circuits and electric shock risk. Never short-circuit on-board fuses, this removes overcurrent protection and creates wiring fire risk. Check branch temperature quarterly under full load, re-tighten terminals if overheating and discoloration appears.
