Material Composition FR4 PCB substrate 12-bit DAC chip Output operational amplifier array TVS protection diodes Gold-plated backplane edge fingers Flame retardant plastic front panel
Structural Features Standard C300 I/O card form factor. Front detachable terminal block for 8 channel wiring. Simplified circuit layout, fewer components than isolated variants. Front status LEDs for card run and fault.
Working Principle Controller setpoint values travel over the subrack bus to the card. Each channel routes values to the 12-bit DAC, converting digital commands to analog current signals that drive connected field actuators. Short circuit protection limits output current on overcurrent events. On controller stop, outputs revert to the pre-configured fail-safe value.
Installation Requirements Insert the card into a dedicated non-isolated analog output slot. Wire field actuators to labeled terminals. Configure output scaling and fail-safe values in Control Builder. Verify output operation during commissioning.
Usage Notes Do not use non-isolated cards in high-common-mode-voltage environments, ground loop interference causes output drift. Loop load must not exceed 600 Ω. Never use this card for surge-prone outdoor field loops; use isolated variants for exposed installations. Short circuit faults require field wiring inspection before resetting channel alarms.
