Description
Honeywell CC-PAIM01
Technical Specifications Multi-channel 4-20mA analog current input. Support HART protocol communication with smart transmitters. Backplane bus connection to Experion PKS rack. 24V DC field excitation power supply. Overvoltage and overcurrent channel protection. Operating temperature 0°C to +60°C. IP20 protection rating. Hot-swap capable within compatible rack.
Functional Features Provide loop excitation power for 4-20mA field transmitters. Convert analog current signals into digital engineering values through high-precision ADC. Support HART digital signal superimposed on 4-20mA loop to read transmitter internal parameters and diagnostic information. Upload process variable data to the system controller through rack backplane bus. Detect loop open circuit, short circuit and signal over-range faults and generate system alarms. Support channel configuration, calibration and fault diagnosis through system engineering software.
Application Scenarios Petrochemical plant flow and pressure measurement, power plant auxiliary system process monitoring, water treatment plant transmitter signal acquisition, chemical reactor parameter collection, oil and gas pipeline monitoring.
Performance Parameters High conversion precision of analog channels. Low long-term drift. HART signal demodulation without affecting analog measurement. Stable data transmission through control bus. Channel fault location function.
Material Composition Main PCB uses FR-4 flame-retardant multilayer printed circuit board. Analog front end uses precision sampling resistors and isolation components. Backplane gold finger is gold-plated copper alloy. Module outer shell is flame-retardant thermoplastic. Terminal contact springs adopt nickel-plated copper alloy.
Structural Characteristics Plug-in rack module structure for Honeywell standard control rack. Front panel has LED indicators for power, bus communication and channel fault status. Rear gold finger connector realizes power supply and bus data interaction with rack backplane. Front screw terminals are used for field transmitter wiring. Side mechanical locking buckles fix the module in the rack and resist cabinet vibration.
Working Principle Field 4-20mA signals enter the module sampling circuit and are filtered and conditioned. The ADC chip converts analog signals into digital quantity. The module separates HART digital signals from analog current loop and parses transmitter diagnostic data. All measurement and diagnostic data are uploaded to the rack controller via backplane bus. The onboard monitoring circuit continuously judges the integrity of each signal loop.
Installation Requirements Cut off rack power supply before module installation and replacement. Insert the module into the designated slot of the control rack and lock the side buckles. Use shielded twisted-pair cables to connect field transmitters to module input terminals. Configure signal range, engineering unit and alarm limit in Experion engineering software. Perform channel calibration and loop fault simulation test after power restoration.
Precautions for Use Shielded cable shielding layer adopts single-point grounding. Do not apply voltage exceeding the rated loop voltage to input terminals. Take anti-static protection measures when taking the module out of the rack. Back up system configuration before module replacement.
