Honeywell CC-TD1220

Product Introduction CC-TD1220 is a digital input termination base of Honeywell Experion PKS Series C I/O system. It matches digital input electronic IOM module, and concentrates field discrete contact and proximity sensor wiring to labeled screw terminals. It provides signal surge suppression, noise filtering and backplane signal routing function. It is used for 24VDC discrete status signal collection in process control cabinets.

Description

Honeywell CC-TD1220

Technical Specifications Multi-channel 24VDC digital signal termination; compatible with dry contact and active 24VDC field signals; per-channel transient voltage suppression components; backplane 24VDC power supply; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; rack slot mounting; UL and CE certification.

Functional Features It gathers field switch, valve limit switch and proximity sensor cables onto numbered terminal blocks. It absorbs voltage surge and reverse electromotive force induced by field inductive loads. It transmits discrete status signal to paired digital input IOM module through rear backplane connector. It supports channel line fault detection for open circuit condition. Clear channel marking reduces wiring error during commissioning and maintenance.

Application Scenarios Valve limit switch signal termination for chemical plant interlock control cabinets; pump and fan running feedback wiring base for power plant DCS; discrete status signal junction for water treatment control system.

Performance Parameters Surge clamping circuit responds quickly to transient interference; signal transmission will not distort discrete on-off state; terminal contact resistance remains stable under cabinet vibration.

Material Composition Housing material is flame retardant polycarbonate; internal circuit substrate is FR4 flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal screws and conductive shrapnel are tin-plated copper alloy; backplane connector pins are gold-plated; metal locking clip is zinc-plated cold rolled steel.

Structural Characteristics Rack-mounted termination base; front panel printed with channel number and signal type labels; rear integrated backplane connector for mating with digital IOM card; fool-proof keying notch to prevent mismatched module installation; side elastic latches for fastening to rack rail.

Working Principle Field discrete device wires connect to screw terminals of CC-TD1220. Digital signal passes through built-in surge suppression and filtering circuits, then transmits to the matched digital input IOM module through backplane. The IOTA base only completes wiring concentration and signal protection. It does not execute signal logic judgment or analog-to-digital conversion.

Installation Requirements Mount the IOTA base on standard Experion Series C rack rails. Confirm mechanical keying matches paired digital input IOM module. Tighten field terminal screws to specified torque value. Separate discrete signal cables and high-voltage power cables. Ensure cabinet single-point protective grounding.

Usage Notes Do not connect AC high voltage signal to 24VDC digital terminals. Verify field signal polarity before powering on the channel. Wear anti-static wrist strap when replacing IOM electronic card. Do not remove the IOTA base while field cables are energized.
