Structural Features Flat rectangular DIN rail mount FTA structure. Front side is removable screw terminal block for field wiring. Rear side multi-pin connector interfaces with interconnection cable to SAI-1620 module. 16 channels are grouped clearly on PCB layout. Ground bus bar runs through each channel group. Transparent cover protects terminal screws and displays channel number marking. Back side elastic clip locks firmly on 35mm DIN rail.
Working Principle Field 4-20mA signal from safety transmitter enters the field side terminal block. The signal passes through surge protection circuit and isolation barrier. The conditioned analog signal is transmitted to SAI-1620 safe input module via dedicated interconnection cable. The FTA keeps continuous signal path and transfers loop fault condition to the processor module. The common ground bus provides reference potential for each 8-channel group.
Installation Requirements Mount FC-TSAI-1620 on 35mm DIN rail and confirm rail locking. Wire field instrument shielded twisted pair cable to field side terminals. Connect the dedicated interconnection cable between FTA and SAI-1620 module. Configure channel parameters in Safety Manager engineering software. Power on the loop and verify signal reading and fault diagnostic function. Separate hazardous wiring and safe zone wiring in different cable trays.
Usage Notes Only matched safe analog input module can be used with this FTA. Shielded twisted pair cable is mandatory for 4-20mA instrument wiring. Tighten terminal screws to specified torque to avoid poor contact under vibration. Do not apply AC voltage to any input terminal. Follow hazardous area installation standards when deployed in explosive zone.
