Working Principle: When inserted into vacant rack slot, FS-BLIND-COM connects internal backplane bus termination resistors. The resistors match bus impedance and eliminate signal reflection on high-speed safety bus. The solid front panel closes the empty slot opening. It maintains the rack shielding enclosure and guides cabinet cooling airflow evenly across all slots. No data processing or signal conversion occurs inside this blind module.
Installation Requirements:
- Insert module into unused FS series rack slot
- Wear anti-static wristband during handling
- Ensure backplane connector is clean before insertion
- Push module fully into slot and engage locking latches
- Keep cabinet sealed after installation
Usage Notes:
- Use only original Honeywell FS-BLIND-COM for FS safety rack slots
- Do not use generic blank filler cards to replace this module
- Inspect gold-plated edge connector for dust and corrosion during maintenance
- Keep module installed in designated slot during normal system operation
- Remove module only when new functional module needs to be installed in that slot
