Honeywell MC-41103400

Product Introduction MC-41103400 is an analog output card for the Honeywell TPS system. The card converts control station outputs into 4 to 20 mA analog signals driving field control valves and actuators, with channel isolation and output loop diagnosis. It is a card in the TPS rack I/O slot for refining, petrochemical DCS analog control output.

Application Scenarios

  • Refinery control valve output
  • Petrochemical DCS analog output
  • Chemical reactor temperature/pressure control output
  • Plant analog control cards
  • TPS AO cards

Materials and Construction

  • Front panel: Metal panel
  • PCB: FR4 board with conformal coating
  • Core: Multi-channel DAC, V/I circuit
  • Connector: Gold-plated Eurocard
  • Terminals: Screw-fastened terminals
  • Passive components: Precision resistors, TVS

Structural Features

  • Eurocard plug-in in TPS rack I/O slot
  • Front panel channel LEDs and terminals
  • Channel group isolation
  • Analog circuits away from digital area
  • Card locking mechanism
  • Removable terminal block

Working Principle The control station sends setpoints over TPS bus; the DAC converts to voltage and the V/I circuit produces 4 to 20 mA to field valves. Output loop monitoring detects current to identify wire-break. On failure the card outputs a preset fail-safe value. LEDs indicate channel status.

Installation Requirements

  • Insert I/O slot with power off
  • Shielded twisted pair output wire
  • Do not short output
  • Rack grounding
  • Temperature 0 °C to +60 °C
  • Configure channel output range in software

Precautions

  • Do not hot-swap online
  • Do not short output loop
  • Load must not exceed 750 Ω
  • Wear ESD wrist strap
  • Store spares in anti-static moisture-proof packaging
  • Verify output from software after replacement
