- Fixing screws secure the relay to the base after insertion.
- Recommended vertical mounting to allow maintenance access.
Working Principle
The R4343E1014 receives a flame signal from a UV flame detector such as C7027, C7035, or C7044. When flame is detected, the internal amplifier validates the signal and energizes the relay outputs. If the flame signal is lost during operation, the relay de-energizes within less than 1 second, causing the SPDT contacts to change state. This change can trigger an alarm, shut down the fuel valve, or activate a safety interlock. The flame current test jack allows maintenance personnel to measure flame signal strength without removing the relay.
Installation Requirements
- Disconnect power before installation or wiring.
- Mount the base on a flat surface, preferably vertically.
- Leave sufficient clearance for relay removal and maintenance.
- Wire the base according to local electrical codes and burner manufacturer instructions.
- Ensure correct supply voltage before inserting the relay.
- Use only compatible UV flame detectors with the R4343E type.
- Keep relay terminals insulated from high-voltage ignition cables.
- Tighten all terminal screws after wiring.
Precautions for Use
- Do not confuse live and neutral connections.
- Do not connect supply power to the relay output terminals.
- Ensure the flame detector is correctly aimed and installed.
- Verify flame current using the test jack during commissioning.
- Replace the internal fuse only with the specified rating for R4343E models.
- Do not use R4343E1014 with rectified flame detectors unless specified.
- Store spare relays in dry, clean, and non-corrosive environments.
- Confirm exact voltage, response time, and certification from the device nameplate and official documentation.
