Honeywell S3KR1SS

Product Introduction The S3KR1SS is an electrochemical toxic gas sensor module designed for Honeywell XNX universal gas transmitter. It measures concentration of targeted toxic gas in industrial hazardous environments. The electrochemical cell inside generates electrical current proportional to gas concentration, and sends signal to XNX transmitter for concentration calculation, display and alarm trigger. This modular sensor supports non-intrusive maintenance and calibration for fixed gas detection systems.

Application Scenarios Chemical plant toxic gas leak monitoring; Wastewater treatment plant hydrogen sulfide detection; Ammonia refrigeration system leak monitoring; Metallurgy workshop toxic gas detection; Pharmaceutical manufacturing toxic vapor monitoring; Indoor confined space fixed toxic gas monitoring.

Performance Parameters Measurement sensitivity stable across operating temperature range; Response time for target gas fast; Baseline drift remains limited during service period; Fault detection circuit reliably identifies sensor failure; Measurement repeatability consistent.

Material Composition 316 stainless steel outer housing; Electrochemical electrolyte sensing cell; PTFE gas permeable membrane; Metal dust filter; Plastic internal frame; Gold plated contact pins; Rubber sealing gasket.

Structural Features Cylindrical modular construction; Front gas inlet with metal filter membrane; Internal sealed electrochemical cell; Rear spring loaded electrical contact pins; Threaded mounting interface compatible with XNX sensor housing.

Working Principle Target toxic gas diffuses through gas permeable membrane into electrochemical sensing cell. Redox reaction occurs on working electrode and generates electric current. The magnitude of electric current directly correlates with gas concentration. XNX transmitter samples this current signal and converts the value into gas concentration reading. Built-in diagnostic circuit continuously monitors cell integrity.

Installation Requirements Insert sensor module into XNX transmitter socket completely; Check sealing gasket integrity before assembly; Mount sensor at correct height according to gas molecular weight; Keep gas inlet unobstructed from dust or debris; Complete gas calibration after installation.

Precautions for Use Do not expose sensor to extreme humidity and condensation; Calibrate regularly using certified standard gas; Avoid contact with organic solvent vapor; Replace sensor once end of service life reached; Prevent mechanical impact on sensor membrane.
