HONEYWELL TC-ODK161

Product Introduction: TC-ODK161 is a high-density AC discrete output module for Honeywell Experion PKS Series A I/O rack. It converts controller digital logic commands into 120/220VAC switching signals to drive field AC loads. It uses isolated solid-state relay output design, which directly controls solenoid valves, AC contactors, indicator lights and motor auxiliary actuators. It integrates per-channel overcurrent and short-circuit protection, and supports real-time channel status diagnosis and fault feedback to the controller.

HONEYWELL TC-ODK161

Technical Specifications Backplane bus power supply; 16 independent AC output channels; Rated output voltage 120VAC / 220VAC; Isolation design for each channel; Solid-state relay output; Per-channel overcurrent and short-circuit protection; Rack plug-in design compatible with Experion PKS C200/C300 I/O rack.

Functional Features Receive digital control commands from rack controller and convert to AC switching output for field devices; Electrically isolate field AC circuit and DCS control circuit to eliminate ground loop interference; Each channel has independent fault detection circuit; Detect overcurrent, short circuit and load open circuit status; Upload channel status and fault information to Experion controller and operator station; Single channel fault will not affect operation of other normal channels; LED indicators on front panel show real-time on/off state of each output channel.

Application Scenarios Chemical plant, oil refinery and power plant Experion PKS DCS cabinets; On-off control of AC solenoid valves and actuators; Motor start-stop auxiliary control and valve status indication; Interlock discrete output for continuous production process.

Performance Parameters Operating temperature range 0℃ to 60℃; Relative humidity 5% to 95%, non-condensing; Channel isolation voltage meets industrial safety standard; Comply with industrial EMC anti-interference requirements; Stable switching performance under frequent on-off operation cycles.

Material Composition FR-4 multilayer printed circuit board; Gold-plated backplane edge connectors; Solid-state relay chips; Surge absorption components; Overcurrent protection fuses; Precision signal resistors and capacitors; Anti-static flame retardant plastic front panel.

Structural Features Standard rack plug-in card structure; Front panel fitted with 16 channel LED status indicators and module fault indicator; Rear gold fingers connect rack backplane bus; Anti-reverse insertion positioning notch; Model marking printed on card surface; Matched dedicated FTA terminal base for field AC wiring termination.

Working Principle Digital control command from controller transmits to module through rack backplane bus. Internal logic circuit triggers corresponding solid-state relay to turn on or off. AC power from field side passes through solid-state relay to drive field AC load. Each channel monitoring circuit continuously detects loop current and voltage. When overcurrent, short circuit or load disconnection occurs, protection circuit cuts off channel output immediately and sends fault alarm to controller.

Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap during installation and removal; Insert card fully into rack slot and tighten fixing screw; Install matched FTA terminal base and complete field AC wiring; Cabinet protective grounding must be qualified; Separate AC field wiring from low-voltage signal cables; Verify hardware version matches controller firmware.

Precautions for Use Do not plug or unplug the module under power-on state; Confirm field AC load rating before wiring each channel; Check terminal screw tightness during regular maintenance; Replace internal fuse only with specified fuse model when channel overcurrent protection triggers; Do not exceed rated AC voltage and current of each output channel.
