Honeywell XFR824A

Product Introduction: Honeywell XFR824A is flame signal amplifier module for industrial burner flame detection system. It receives weak flame signal from UV or IR flame sensors, amplifies and conditions the signal, then judges flame presence or flame loss state. It sends flame status digital signal to burner safety controller for burner interlock protection. It is designed for gas and oil fired industrial burners, furnaces and boiler combustion safety control.

Description

Honeywell XFR824A

Technical Specifications: Power supply: 24VDC or 120/230VAC according to variant Input signal: UV / IR flame sensor weak signal input Output: flame present relay contact output, fault alarm relay output Response time: flame loss response within 1 second Operating temperature: -20℃ to +60℃ Protection rating: IP20 Mounting: DIN rail mounting

Functional Features: Amplify weak optical flame sensor signal from combustion chamber. Flame on / flame off state discrimination. Built-in self-diagnosis for sensor and circuit fault. Relay output for burner safety interlock control. Adjustable signal sensitivity for different combustion conditions. Fast flame loss detection to trigger burner fuel cut-off protection.

Application Scenarios: Industrial gas boiler, oil burner, furnace combustion safety control, heating furnace, thermal oil heater, refinery process burner, power plant auxiliary boiler.

Performance Parameters: Flame detection response time less than 1 second. Fault diagnostic coverage higher than 95%. Relay contact rated load for safety interlock circuit.

Material Composition: FR4 high reliability circuit board. Signal amplification and comparison electronic components. Industrial safety relay. Flame retardant plastic DIN rail housing. Screw terminal blocks.

Structural Features: DIN rail pluggable module housing. Front LED indicator for flame status and fault alarm. Screw terminals for flame sensor wiring and relay output wiring. EMC shielding circuit against light and electrical interference.

Working Principle: Flame optical sensor converts flame radiation into weak electrical signal. XFR824A module receives this signal, amplifies and filters the signal. Internal comparator judges whether valid flame exists. If flame signal disappears, module immediately activates flame loss relay output. Relay signal transmits to burner safety controller to cut fuel supply and trigger alarm. Onboard circuit continuously checks sensor wiring fault.

Installation Requirements: Install on 35mm DIN rail inside burner control cabinet. Flame sensor signal cable must be shielded twisted pair. Keep sensor cable away from high voltage ignition cables. Tighten terminal screws to specified torque.

Usage Notes: Match the amplifier with corresponding UV or IR flame sensor type. Verify flame detection sensitivity during burner commissioning. Replace module only after cutting off power supply. Carry out periodic flame simulation test regularly.
