Description
KEBA CP253W
Technical Specifications 32-bit RISC processor running at 400 MHz; 256 KB RAM, 512 KB flash program memory; onboard 24 VDC digital I/O; analog inputs supporting Pt100 and thermocouple temperature sensors; pulse outputs for motion axes; communication interfaces include Ethernet, USB programming port, RS232/485 and CAN bus; optional EtherCAT, PROFIBUS and CANopen fieldbus expansion; maximum expandable I/O count 256; operating temperature -25 ℃ to +60 ℃.
Functional Features IEC 61131-3 programming via KEBA KeStudio software; dedicated plastic molding control libraries for injection speed and pressure closed loop; high-speed hardware interrupt for fast shot switching; integrated proportional valve drive capability; recipe storage for mold parameter sets; system watchdog for automatic fault reset.
Application Scenarios Plastic injection molding machines, die-casting equipment, extrusion control systems, blow molding automation, high-speed packaging machinery.
Material Composition Flame-retardant industrial plastic housing; high-speed control PCB; isolated analog signal conditioning circuits; gold-plated expansion bus connectors; screw terminal blocks for field I/O wiring.
Structural Characteristics DIN rail mount compact controller; front panel status LEDs for run, fault and communication; terminal blocks on lower edge for power, digital and analog I/O; side expansion bus port for additional fieldbus modules.
Working Principle After power-up, the controller loads molding program and recipe parameters from flash memory. It scans digital sensors, reads temperature analog channels, executes injection pressure and velocity closed-loop algorithms, outputs pulse commands to servo axes and proportional valves, and exchanges recipe and alarm data with HMI over Ethernet.
Installation Requirements Install on DIN rail inside machine electrical cabinet; separate analog sensor cables from power and servo cables; use shielded Ethernet cable for HMI connection; configure CAN bus termination resistor at bus endpoints.
Operation Notes Back up mold recipe library before controller replacement; verify temperature sensor type and scaling after hardware swap; check proportional valve output calibration before automatic molding cycle startup.
