Description
Metso D201466
Technical Specifications Supports 4-20 mA current and voltage analogue input signals; per-channel overvoltage and overcurrent protection; rack 28 V DC backplane power supply; operating temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; uncoated FR4 PCB; rack plug-in form factor for Metso MAX rack; per-channel LED status indicators; hardware low-pass signal filtering.
Functional Features Per-channel analogue signal conditioning and high-resolution analogue-to-digital conversion; open-loop detection for 4-20 mA transmitter loops; configurable signal type, zero and full-scale scaling; channel fault alarm reporting to DCS controller; cyclic measurement data refresh over rack backplane bus.
Application Scenarios Central control room flow, level and pressure transmitter signal collection, power plant auxiliary system instrument monitoring, clean water treatment plant DCS racks, Metso MAX DCS spare replacement.
Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic module housing; uncoated FR4 measurement PCB; precision analogue reference and ADC chips; surge protection components; gold-plated rack backplane edge connector; removable screw terminal blocks for field instrument wiring.
Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in module; front panel equipped with channel status LED array and detachable field wiring terminal block; rear edge gold finger mates with Metso MAX rack backplane; analogue front-end circuits electrically separated from rack digital logic circuits.
Working Principle Field transmitter analogue signals enter the module terminal block. Signal conditioning circuits filter high-frequency noise and adjust signal amplitude. Analogue-to-digital converters convert continuous analogue signals to digital numerical values. The module transmits measurement data to rack CPU over backplane bus and triggers fault alarms for open transmitter loops.
Installation Requirements Insert module only into de-energised Metso MAX rack; connect field transmitters to designated channel terminals; configure engineering scaling and signal type in DCS engineering software; separate analogue signal cables from high-current power cables.
Operation Notes Carry out zero and span calibration after module or transmitter replacement; do not use this uncoated variant in high-humidity, corrosive cabinet environments; disable channels before transmitter loop maintenance.
