METSO IOP114 / IOP302

Product Introduction: IOP114 and IOP302 are paired digital input modules for Metso MaxPAC DCS control system. They collect multi-type 24VDC digital switching signals from field equipment, convert contact status into digital logic data and upload to MaxPAC controller. They are widely used for equipment status feedback and safety interlock signal collection.

Functional Features: Collect 24VDC field switching signals; photoelectric isolation between field side and control system side; hardware loop break detection; single-channel fault isolation; module self-diagnosis function; upload fault alarm to DCS monitoring system; support high-speed backplane bus data transmission.

Application Scenarios: Auxiliary machine interlock signal cabinet in thermal power plant; equipment status collection cabinet in pulp and paper factory; safety interlock monitoring cabinet in chemical plant; valve limit signal collection cabinet in water treatment plant.

Performance Parameters: Signal response time less than 1ms; strong anti-interference performance under industrial field environment; meet industrial EMC standards; support 7×24 hours uninterrupted continuous operation.

Material Composition: Glass fiber epoxy multilayer PCB circuit board; photoelectric isolation chips; gold-plated edge connector; metal front panel; circuit board coated with three-proof protective coating.

Structural Features: Rack plug-in modular structure; front panel equipped with LED indicators for power, running and channel fault status; rear gold-plated edge connector connects to MaxPAC rack backplane bus; field signal circuit and system logic circuit are physically separated; panel fitted with mechanical locking buckle.

Working Principle: Field 24VDC switching signals are transmitted to IOP114 and IOP302 modules through supporting terminal base. Photoelectric isolation components separate field circuit and system circuit. The module judges high and low level state and converts into digital logic signal. Data is uploaded to MaxPAC controller via backplane bus. The module detects circuit fault and uploads alarm information.

Installation Requirements: Install in designated slot of MaxPAC I/O rack and match with original supporting terminal base. Use shielded cable for switching signal wiring. Signal cables and high-power power cables are laid in separate trunking. Cabinet protective grounding terminal must be connected reliably. Reserve ventilation space around module.

Precautions for Use: Confirm input signal voltage level before power on. Cut off field loop power before wiring. Do not access high voltage signal to input channel. Cut off rack backplane power before module disassembly. Wear anti-static wristband during operation. Check terminal tightness regularly.
