METSO IOP320

Product Introduction: IOP320 is analog input module of Metso MaxPAC DCS control system. It receives 4-20mA standard current signal from field pressure, flow and liquid level transmitters. It converts analog measurement signal into digital signal and uploads to DPU controller for continuous process parameter monitoring.

Working Principle: 4-20mA signal from field transmitter is transmitted to IOP320 module through supporting terminal base. The internal ADC chip converts analog current signal into digital value. Digital data is uploaded to DPU controller through backplane bus. The module continuously monitors each input loop. It identifies open circuit and over-range fault and uploads alarm information to upper DCS system.

Installation Requirements: Install in designated slot of MaxPAC I/O rack, matched with original terminal base. Use twisted shielded cable for analog signal wiring. The shield layer of cable adopts single-point grounding. Signal cables and power cables are laid in separate trunking. Cabinet protective grounding terminal must be connected reliably. Reserve enough ventilation space around module for heat dissipation.

Precautions for Use: Verify signal polarity strictly before wiring. Cut off field transmitter loop power before wiring work. Do not access high voltage signal to analog input channel. Cut off rack backplane power before module disassembly. Check tightness of wiring terminals regularly. Keep cabinet internal humidity within 20%~80% without condensation.
