Performance Parameters Bus token rotation timing accurate; Cyclic I/O data transmission stable; Communication error detection reliable; Data storage integrity during short disturbance; Physical layer signal quality meets PROFIBUS standard.
Material Composition FR4 multi-layer printed circuit board; PROFIBUS protocol processor chip; PROFIBUS transceiver; SRAM buffer memory; Metal D-Sub connector; LED indicator components; Screw terminal blocks for power and host interface.
Structural Features Compact rectangular module; D-Sub connector for PROFIBUS bus cable; Screw terminals for power and host data connection; Front panel LED indicators; Mounting holes for cabinet installation.
Working Principle Onboard processor runs PROFIBUS-DP master stack. The unit performs bus initialization and scans all connected PROFIBUS slave stations. It maintains cyclic communication to read field input signals and send control outputs to slaves. The controller monitors bus signal quality continuously. When communication fault appears, fault information is reported to host system. All PROFIBUS protocol processing runs independently inside the unit.
Installation Requirements Install module inside dry control cabinet; Use PROFIBUS standard shielded twisted pair cable; Mount bus terminator at two endpoints of bus trunk; Keep fieldbus wiring separated from high voltage power cables; Connect protective earth of cabinet.
Precautions for Use Set matching baud rate with all bus slaves before startup; Do not remove bus terminator at cable ends; Prevent cable bending damage; Check power ripple level; Back up bus configuration parameter before replacement.
