Working Principle
The module supplies a limited-energy NAMUR excitation voltage to field devices located in the hazardous area. Current changes from the NAMUR sensor or dry contact are detected on the field side, evaluated against the switching threshold, and converted into relay output states on the control side. Line fault detection monitors the field loop for open circuits and short circuits. Galvanic isolation prevents hazardous energy transfer between the field circuit, power supply, and relay outputs. Configuration is performed via DIP switches, and status is indicated by LEDs.
