Working Principle Safety field signals are connected to the terminals of the expansion module. The module samples each channel status and transmits data to the PNOZmulti base controller through the expansion bus. The base unit executes safety logic and sends shutdown commands back to the expansion module to cut off hazardous outputs. The module runs continuous self-diagnosis of channel circuits.
Installation Requirements Mount the module on 35mm DIN rail adjacent to the PNOZmulti base controller. Connect the expansion bus cable between this module and the base unit. Complete safety device wiring and channel configuration in the Pilz programming software. Verify all expanded safety channels during commissioning.
Precautions for Use Only use official Pilz expansion bus cables. Do not connect this module to non-matching control hardware. Conduct overall safety function testing after adding expansion modules.
