ProSoFt MVI56E-MNETXT

Product Introduction: ProSoft MVI56E-MNETXT has identical Modbus TCP communication function with MVI56E-MNET. This module is designed for Logix-XT extreme environment control platform. The whole circuit board adopts conformal coating treatment to resist corrosive gas, moisture and dust in harsh industrial environment. It supports wider operating temperature range than standard MVI56E-MNET. It enables ControlLogix XT series controller to communicate with Modbus TCP instruments and controllers, supporting client and server mode at the same time, and supports remote configuration, online diagnosis and CIPconnect network bridging.

ProSoFt MVI56E-MNETXT

Technical Specifications: Chassis: 1756 ControlLogix single slot, Logix-XT platform compatible Backplane bus: ControlLogix backplane Ethernet port: 10/100 Mbps auto crossover RJ45 Operating temperature range: -40℃ ~ +70℃ Storage temperature range: -40℃ ~ +85℃ Humidity: 5% ~95%, non-condensing PCB protection: Full conformal coating Protocol: Modbus TCP/IP Client and Server Configuration software: ProSoft Configuration Builder Protection grade: IP20

Functional Features: Full conformal coating on PCB to resist moisture, dust and corrosive gas. Wide temperature range suitable for extreme industrial environments. Modbus TCP client and server work simultaneously. Local and remote configuration and diagnostic through Ethernet port. CIPconnect technology for network bridging over ControlNet and EtherNet/IP. Built-in communication fault recording and real-time status monitoring. LED indicators for module, network and fault status.

Application Scenarios: Offshore oil platform control cabinets, mining control rooms, outdoor remote control stations, heavy metallurgy workshops, cold region industrial control systems, chemical plants with corrosive vapor environment, remote unattended pumping station control.

Performance Parameters: Temperature resistance: Stable operation under wide extreme temperature range. Anti-corrosion performance: Conformal coating protects circuit board from corrosive atmosphere. Concurrent communication: Multiple Modbus TCP client and server connections. Data refresh speed: High-speed scheduled I/O data transmission with ControlLogix CPU. Continuous operation: Long-term stable operation under harsh industrial environmental conditions.

Material Composition: PCB substrate: FR4 high reliability glass fiber epoxy printed circuit board. Coating material: Industrial conformal protective coating for circuit board. Core chips: Wide temperature grade industrial processor, Ethernet transceiver chip, memory chip. Front panel: Flame retardant ABS plastic. Backplane connector: Gold plated copper alloy contact pins. Ethernet socket: PA66 flame retardant plastic housing.

Structural Features: Standard 1756 single slot plug-in module form. Front panel fitted with RJ45 Ethernet port and multi LED status indicators. The entire PCB circuit is covered with conformal coating. Internal circuit layout includes backplane interface, Ethernet communication and data storage area. Mechanical latch to lock module into chassis slot.

Working Principle: The module is powered by ControlLogix XT chassis backplane. It communicates with Modbus TCP devices on industrial Ethernet network. Conformal coating protects electronic components from moisture, dust and corrosive gas erosion. It can actively initiate read and write requests as Modbus TCP client, and respond to external access requests as Modbus TCP server. Data is exchanged with ControlLogix XT controller through backplane scheduled I/O channel, and diagnostic information can be viewed remotely through Ethernet port.

Installation Requirements: Power off the ControlLogix XT chassis before module installation or removal. Insert module into empty single slot of 1756 chassis and lock mechanical latch. Use shielded industrial Ethernet cable for network connection. Set module IP address and Modbus communication parameters by ProSoft Configuration Builder. Reliably connect control cabinet protective earth ground. Keep enough clearance between modules for heat dissipation.

Usage Notes: Module cannot be plugged or unplugged when chassis backplane is energized. Backup configuration file before firmware upgrade or parameter adjustment. Select shielded Ethernet cable for industrial harsh environment wiring. Regularly check LED indicators and cable connection status. Wear anti-static wristband during maintenance operation. Do not scratch the conformal coating on circuit board surface.
