Saia PCD3M.5340

Product Introduction PCD3M.5340 is a modular PLC CPU from Saia-Burgess (now Honeywell) PCD3 family. The 32-bit processor executes user control programs and connects to I/O and communication modules over the PCD3 bus. Used in building automation, water treatment, machine tools, and food packaging independent control.

Working Principle DC24 V supply powers the CPU. After power-on self-diagnosis, the CPU loads the user program from Flash to execute. It reads and writes I/O modules over the PCD3 bus. The RS232 programming port connects to PG5 software for program transfer. RTC provides time stamps. Watchdog monitors program execution.
