SHINKAWA VM-5H3

Product Introduction: SHINKAWA VM-5H3 is a rack mounted vibration monitor module of VM-5 TSI series. It monitors shaft relative vibration amplitude using eddy current proximity probes for rotating machinery. This module supports dual channel vibration measurement, computes peak to peak vibration value and provides configurable alarm thresholds. It outputs analog 4-20mA signal and relay alarm contact for machinery protection system. The module meets API 670 requirement and applies for turbine and compressor vibration supervision.

Probe cable break and short circuit fault detection. Front panel digital display of real-time vibration amplitude. Selectable alarm reset mode including automatic reset and latch reset. Front panel LED indicators for channel status, alert and danger alarm.

Application Scenarios: Steam turbine shaft vibration monitoring, centrifugal compressor rotor vibration supervision, gas turbine relative vibration measurement, power plant turbomachinery TSI system, refinery rotating machinery protection cabinet.

Performance Parameters: High linearity vibration measurement in full measuring range. Low temperature drift for stable continuous monitoring. Fast response for sudden vibration increase event. Strong noise suppression for proximity probe signal.

Material Composition: FR4 industrial printed circuit board. Eddy current signal conditioning circuit. Microprocessor for amplitude calculation and threshold comparison. Relay switching elements for alarm contact output. Flame retardant metal front panel with digital display. Gold plated backplane connector.

Structural Features: Standard plug-in module for SHINKAWA VM5 rack. Front panel equipped with digital display and status LED lamps. Front screw terminal blocks for probe cable, power and output wiring. Internal circuit separates high frequency probe signal and low power alarm circuit. Metal front plate provides EMC shielding.

Working Principle: The module supplies high frequency excitation signal to eddy current proximity probe. The probe induces eddy current on shaft metal surface. The monitor detects impedance variation of probe coil caused by distance change between probe and shaft surface. The circuit calculates peak to peak vibration amplitude of shaft. The measured value compares with preset alert and danger limits. Relay contacts activate when vibration exceeds threshold. Analog 4-20mA signal transmits vibration value to DCS system. Built-in diagnostic circuit detects probe cable failure and triggers fault indication.

Installation Requirements: Install VM-5H3 module into VM5 rack slot. Use Shinkawa matched proximity probe and extension cable. Use shielded coaxial cable for probe wiring. Install rack inside IP20 control cabinet. Complete protective earth bonding of rack chassis. Adjust probe installation gap during machine commissioning.

Usage Notes: Calibrate probe gap before machine start-up. Set vibration alarm threshold according to machinery operation manual. Inspect coaxial cable and connectors regularly. Cut rack power before removing module. Check alarm relay contact rating before connecting external alarm circuit.
