Material Composition
- Wetted body: Electropolished 316L stainless steel
- Sensing element: Welded stainless steel diaphragm
- Switch mechanism: Hermetically sealed micro switch
- Housing: Stainless steel outer shell
- Lead wire: High purity insulated wire
- Weld seam: Full penetration stainless steel laser weld
Structural Characteristics
- Miniature cylindrical all welded stainless steel body.
- Diaphragm pressure sensing element directly exposed to process gas.
- Internal mechanical trigger mechanism actuated by diaphragm deflection.
- Hermetically sealed micro switch isolated from process gas stream.
- Process end equipped with 1/4 inch high purity end seal fitting.
- Electrical lead wires exit from opposite end of pressure port.
Working Principle Process gas pressure acts on the stainless steel diaphragm. When pressure reaches factory preset set point, diaphragm deflection triggers internal mechanical trip mechanism. The micro switch contact changes state to send digital alarm or shutdown signal. When pressure falls below deadband value, the switch resets automatically. The full welded metal structure prevents process gas leakage and eliminates organic contamination source.
Installation Requirements
- Install in high purity gas pipeline with proper end seal fitting connection.
- Use torque controlled fitting installation to avoid thread particle generation.
- Mount the switch with correct orientation to prevent liquid condensate accumulation.
- Route electrical lead wires away from high voltage power cables.
- Complete gas leak test after installation before introducing process gas.
- Keep the sensing diaphragm free from mechanical impact during installation.
- Verify switch action by pressure test after installation.
Usage Notes
- Do not apply pressure exceeding maximum proof pressure rating.
- Avoid particle contamination during installation and piping assembly.
- No field adjustment of set point, any modification voids factory calibration.
- Prevent mechanical impact on the diaphragm sensing section.
- Do not expose to liquid media not compatible with 316L stainless steel.
- Perform regular leak check of welded body and fitting connection.
- Replace unit if diaphragm suffers scratch or dent damage.
