Working Principle
The drive converts three-phase AC supply voltage into a regulated DC link voltage through a rectifier stage. The DC link is smoothed by capacitors and then converted back into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage three-phase AC output by an IGBT inverter. The microprocessor controls the output frequency and voltage according to the selected control mode, reference signal, and motor parameters. Built-in protection functions monitor current, voltage, temperature, and motor load. When braking energy is returned from the motor, the built-in brake chopper can dissipate energy through an external brake resistor.
Installation Requirements
- Install the drive in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated control cabinet.
- Maintain adequate clearance above and below the drive for cooling airflow.
- Use correctly sized supply cables, motor cables, and protective devices.
- Connect the PE grounding terminal according to local electrical standards.
- Keep motor cables separated from signal and communication cables.
- Configure motor nameplate data before starting the motor.
- Select the correct control mode, reference source, and I/O configuration during commissioning.
- Install an external brake resistor only if dynamic braking is required and the resistor rating matches the application.
Precautions for Use
- Do not operate the drive with missing or loose terminal connections.
- Do not exceed the rated input voltage, output current, or ambient temperature.
- Verify that the IP20 enclosure is installed inside a suitable cabinet.
- Do not connect power factor correction capacitors on the motor output side.
- Allow the drive to cool before performing maintenance.
- Back up parameters before firmware updates or major configuration changes.
