Working Principle Field contact signals enter IOCT16T digital input channels. Optocoupler isolates and converts contact state into digital logic signal. The card transmits discrete status to MPC4 protection card via rack backplane bus. When MPC4 sends output command, the isolated driver circuit activates corresponding output channel to drive field relay or indicator. The onboard diagnostic circuit monitors channel current and detects short circuit or overload fault, and reports fault status back to MPC4.
Installation Requirements
- Insert IOCT16T card into designated slot of Vibro-Meter VM600 rack.
- Connect field discrete wiring to front removable terminal block.
- Use shielded twisted pair cable for field contact signal wiring.
- Separate discrete signal cable from high power motor cables.
- Complete protective earth connection for rack.
- Configure channel direction as input or output in configuration software.
- Simulate contact state change and short circuit fault to test channel function.
