Working Principle
The EPG receives a speed feedback signal from a magnetic pickup unit (MPU) and compares it to an internal setpoint. The internal microprocessor calculates the error and outputs a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal to drive a compatible electric actuator (such as Woodward 512 or 712 series), which physically adjusts the engine’s fuel rack to maintain the target speed.
