Structural Characteristics
- Footprint: Direct drop-in replacement for SPM-D series.
- Indicators: Comprehensive LED array for power, status, alarms, and output activity.
Working Principle
Operates by comparing the phase vectors of the generator and the bus. Using proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control logic, it drives the generator’s speed and voltage to match the bus, timing the breaker close command to account for mechanical relay delays.
Installation Requirements
Ensure the control power supply is stable and within the specified tolerance (-15% / +10% for UL certified units). Provide a dedicated, labeled isolating circuit breaker.
Precautions for Use
Do not attempt to synchronize if the voltage or frequency difference exceeds the safe limits. Regularly test the synch-check function to verify system integrity.
