- Analog Input: 0–10 V, ±10 V, 0/4–20 mA; 12-bit resolution min.; accuracy ≤±0.5% FS
- Analog Output: 0–10 V, 0/4–20 mA; overload protected
- Conversion Time: ≈2 ms per channel (typical)
- Isolation: Channel-to-bus and channel-to-channel galvanic isolation (1 kV test)
- Indicators: 19 LEDs for module status, channel status, communication fault
- Operating Temp.: –40 °C to +70 °C (module); +55 °C max for full-spec operation
- Hot-Swap: Supported when used with proper MTU
- Functional Features:
- Full electrical isolation against ground loops
- Supports redundant Profibus DP configuration
- Code-lock mechanism prevents incorrect module insertion into MTU
- Remote diagnostics via Profibus DP-V1
- Live insertion/replacement without shutting down I/O station
- Application Scenarios:
- Power generation — generator winding temperature (Pt100) input, excitation current output
- Cement / metallurgy — kiln temperature/pressure acquisition & damper valve control
- Marine automation — main engine fuel pressure & cooling water temperature closed-loop
- Process skids interfacing ABB drives with speed-setpoint analog outputs
- Material & Structure:
- Enclosure: Gray flame-retardant polycarbonate/ABS
- DIN-rail clip integrated; mates mechanically with S800 MTU (TU810/TU812 etc.)
- Gold-plated contacts for ModuleBus connection
- Working Principle:
Input signals pass through analog front-end filters and instrumentation amplifiers before A/D conversion. The microcontroller processes scaling, filtering, and limit checking, then transfers data cyclically over the fieldbus. Output setpoints received from the controller are latched in D/A converters and driven through isolated output stages.
- Installation Requirements:
- Insert AX722F into matching S800 MTU ensuring code-key alignment
- Tighten terminal screws to specified torque (typically 0.5–0.6 N·m)
- Verify 24 V DC supply polarity and absence of short circuits before power-up
- Precautions:
- Only use with approved S800 MTUs — mismatched MTU may damage module
- Do NOT remove module under load unless hot-swap is confirmed enabled in system config
- Shield analog cables separately from power cables; ground shield at one point
