Description
ABB CONTRANS T TEU471
Technical Specifications Sensor input supports Pt100 RTD and multiple thermocouple types; output options 4-20mA or 0-10V; maximum load resistance 700 ohm for current output; residual ripple ≤0.5%; power supply range 85 VAC to 264 VAC; operating temperature -20 ℃ to +60 ℃; sensor fault output value configurable for under-range or over-range; HART protocol for digital parameter access; DIN rail mounting.
Functional Features Sensor linearization for RTD and thermocouple curves; configurable measurement range and fault action; HART communication allows remote range modification and sensor diagnostic reading; output short-circuit protection for voltage mode; test jack for on-site signal verification without disconnecting wiring.
Application Scenarios Power plant boiler temperature measurement, chemical reactor thermal monitoring, oil and gas pipeline temperature points, building HVAC precision temperature logging.
Material Composition Flame-retardant DIN rail plastic housing; high-precision signal conversion PCB; galvanic isolation circuits between sensor side and output side; screw-type field terminal blocks; HART modem chip.
Structural Characteristics Narrow DIN rail module; top and bottom terminal blocks for sensor input and power/output wiring; front status LED for power and fault indication; internal isolation barrier separating field sensor and control system circuits.
Working Principle The transmitter samples resistance or millivolt signals from temperature sensors, applies linearization and cold-junction compensation for thermocouples, calculates measured temperature value, and drives 4-20mA current or 0-10V voltage output proportional to configured range. HART digital modulation superimposes parameter and diagnostic data onto analog loop.
Installation Requirements Clip onto standard DIN rail in control cabinet; use twisted pair shielded cable for RTD and thermocouple sensors; connect protective earth terminal to cabinet grounding bar; configure sensor type and measurement range via HART handheld communicator.
Operation Notes Set fault output behavior before putting loop into automatic control; avoid mounting adjacent to high-heat power components; verify cold junction compensation accuracy after thermocouple wiring modification.
