Product Brief:​ Provides the HN800 bus master interface between the controller’s CEX-bus (AC 800M PM8xx CPU) or Advant Controller’s communication slot and one or more S800 I/O nodes (RIO600). It handles cyclic I/O data exchange, module auto-detection, diagnostics, and supports redundant HN800 A/B buses and redundant interface modules (1:1 hot-standby). The module plugs into the CEX slot of an AC 800M CPU baseplate or into an Advant Controller communication rack.

    • Redundancy: Supports redundant pair (two RLM01/CI840A in CEX slots of redundant CPUs)
    • Power: From CEX-bus (5 V DC, typ. 200 mA)
    • LEDs: Run, Err, Com A, Com B, Warning
    • Firmware: Loaded from AC 800M baseplate; compatible with Control Builder M / Advant Eng Tool

    • AC 800M controller → S800 local I/O (ModuleBus direct) OR → S800 remote I/O (via RLM01/CI840A → HN800)

    • Precaution:​ If mixing old RLM01 terminology with new hardware — order CI840A (or CI841 for Profibus DP to S800 I/O). Firmware version must match system release — check compatibility matrix. Always terminate HN800 bus at both ends.
