Application / Material / Structure / Working Principle / Installation / Precautions:

  • If you have a live RET520/RET521 system: install per legacy manual — plug into expansion slot; wire IRIG-B BNC from GPS clock; assign BI functions in RET520 setting group
  • If your plant is all RELION 615/670: you do NOT need RXIDK2H​ — time sync is via IRIG-B on IED rear terminal or PTP (IEEE 1588v2) on Ethernet; extra BI are on IED itself (8–16 BI standard)
  • Precaution (legacy only):​ Verify firmware compatibility with RET520 HW version; keep spare if supporting legacy RET520 — no new procurement recommended for greenfield
