Bently 330194-14-20-10-02-00

Product Overview The 330194-14-20-10-02-00 is an extended temperature range (ETR) eddy current proximity probe from Bently Nevada’s 3300 XL 8mm sensor system. This probe features M10x1 metric thread, 14mm unthreaded length, 20mm overall case length, 1.0 meter integral cable, non-armored construction, and no agency approval. The longer 14mm unthreaded length and 20mm case length are designed for installations requiring the probe to extend significantly beyond the mounting surface or where deep mounting holes are used.

Performance Parameters Identical electrical performance to other 3300 XL 8mm ETR probes. Linear range 2.0 mm (80 mils), linearity ±0.025 mm (±1.0 mil), sensitivity 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil). The longer case length does not affect electrical performance but provides better heat conduction from the probe tip to the mounting structure, potentially improving thermal performance in some applications.

Material Composition Identical to other 3300 XL 8mm ETR probes with PPS tip, stainless steel case, high-temperature coil, and fluoropolymer insulated cable. The 20mm case provides additional stainless steel mass for heat sinking.

Structural Characteristics Cylindrical stainless steel case with M10x1 thread and 14mm smooth unthreaded section. The 20mm overall length provides 6mm of threaded section plus 14mm of unthreaded section. The probe tip is at the end of the unthreaded section. Integral cable exits from the rear. The longer case provides extended reach for deep mounting applications.

Working Principle Identical to other 3300 XL 8mm probes using the eddy current principle.

Installation Requirements

  • Drill and tap mounting hole with M10x1 thread to depth of 6-8mm
  • The 14mm unthreaded length extends beyond the mounting surface, positioning the probe tip at the correct distance from the target
  • Ensure adequate clearance for the 14mm extension beyond the mounting surface
  • Apply anti-seize compound to threads
  • Tighten to 20-25 N·m torque
  • Verify probe tip is at correct gap distance from target
  • Route cable appropriately
  • Connect with ClickLoc connector

Usage Precautions

  • Ensure the 14mm unthreaded extension does not interfere with rotating parts or other components
  • The longer case may be more susceptible to vibration-induced fatigue; check tightness more frequently
  • Do not use the unthreaded section as a lever or handle
  • All other precautions identical to other 3300 XL 8mm ETR probes
