Bently Nevada 330703-00-05-10-02-00

Product Introduction This probe is a high-precision 11 mm proximity probe featuring an M14 x 1.5 metric thread body without armor. It is designed for non-contact vibration and displacement measurement on fluid film bearing machines. The 11 mm tip diameter provides an extended linear measurement range, making this probe ideal for applications requiring larger measurement spans than standard 8 mm probes.

Functional Features The probe features complete interchangeability with other 3300 XL 11 mm system components without matching or calibration. The gold-plated brass ClickLoc connector locks into place, preventing the connection from becoming loose under vibration. The probe comes standard with a locknut with pre-drilled safety wire holes. The metric M14 x 1.5 thread is supplied with a 22 mm lock nut and 12 mm wrench flats.

Application Scenarios Axial thrust position measurements, ramp differential expansion measurements on steam turbines, rod position and rod drop measurements on reciprocating compressors, tachometer and zero speed measurements, phase reference Keyphasor signals, radial vibration monitoring on turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors.

Performance Parameters The Incremental Scale Factor is 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) ±10% including interchangeability error when measured in increments of 0.5 mm over the 4.0 mm linear range. Deviation from best fit straight line is less than ±0.10 mm. Over a probe temperature range of -35°C to +120°C with the Proximitor Sensor and extension cable between 0°C to +45°C, the ISF remains within ±25% of 3.94 V/mm.

Material Composition Probe tip material is polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). Probe case material is AISI 304 stainless steel. The cable is 75 Ω triaxial with fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) insulation. Connector material is gold-plated brass.

Structural Characteristics The probe has a standard forward mount configuration with metric M14 x 1.5 thread. The 50 mm overall case length provides adequate thread engagement for secure mounting. The unthreaded length of 0 mm means the thread extends to the probe tip area. The total 1.0 meter cable length provides direct connection to the extension cable or Proximitor Sensor.

Working Principle The probe generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field at the probe tip. When a conductive target approaches the field, eddy currents are induced in the target surface. The Proximitor Sensor detects the resulting impedance change and converts it into a proportional DC voltage output. The output voltage varies linearly with the gap distance over the specified linear range.
