Working Principle The probe generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field at its tip through an internal coil excited by the Proximitor sensor. Eddy currents induced in the conductive target surface modify the coil impedance in direct proportion to the gap distance. The Proximitor converts this impedance variation into a linear voltage signal, providing both DC gap position and AC vibration data.
Installation Requirements
- M10×1 threaded mounting hole must accommodate 250 mm depth
- Ensure adequate support for extended case length
- Set probe gap to 1.0 mm from target surface
- Verify gap voltage reading of -10 Vdc
- Connect protector cap after mating extension cable
- Maintain minimum cable bend radius
