Working Principle: The NSv probe operates on the eddy current principle. High-frequency current through the probe coil generates an alternating magnetic field. When a conductive target surface enters this field, eddy currents are induced, altering the coil impedance. The proximitor converts this impedance change into a voltage signal proportional to the gap distance.
Installation Requirements:
- The NSv probe can be installed in tight clearance areas typical of centrifugal air compressors
- Total system length (probe cable + extension cable) must equal the sensor system total length
- Compatible with 3300 XL NSv proximitor, 990/991 transmitters
