Structural Characteristics: Flexible coaxial cable with a triaxial structure. The cable is equipped with ClickLoc gold-plated copper connectors. The standard non-armored structure is lightweight and flexible, suitable for routing through conduit or cable trays. The 4.0-meter length is suitable for 5-meter system configurations (when paired with a 1-meter probe cable) or for specific installation requirements.
Working Principle: The extension cable serves as the signal transmission bridge in the eddy current sensor system, transmitting the high-frequency signal generated by the probe tip coil to the Proximitor without loss through the coaxial structure. The outer shielding braid of the coaxial structure prevents external electromagnetic interference from intruding, while the inner signal line maintains constant impedance. Once the signal reaches the Proximitor, it undergoes amplification, demodulation, and linearization, ultimately outputting a DC voltage signal proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target surface.
Installation Requirements:
- Ensure the total length of the probe cable plus the extension cable strictly equals 5.0 meters or 7.0 meters (NSv system lengths)
- Cable routing must maintain at least 30cm clearance from high-voltage power cables
- Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4mm; prohibit excessive bending
- ClickLoc connectors are hand-tightened; do not use tools
- The shielding layer must be grounded at a single point on the Proximitor end; prohibit multi-point grounding to prevent ground loops
- Hazardous area installations must comply with applicable explosion-proof regulations
Usage Notes:
- The “00” code indicates a standard non-armored cable, suitable for clean indoor environments
- The “05” code indicates multi-agency certification; verify that the specific certifications meet site requirements before installation
- Inspect connector condition at each maintenance interval
- Never cut or splice the extension cable; any modification will destroy impedance matching
- The NSv system cable is not interchangeable with 8mm or 11mm system cables; ensure correct system matching
- When replacing the cable, select a specification that exactly matches the original model
