- Working Principle:
- Identical to the non-armored variant — the extension cable carries the high-frequency eddy current excitation signal from the Proximitor to the NSv probe and returns the gap-proportional modulated signal. The armor layer provides mechanical protection without affecting the electrical characteristics of the inner coaxial structure.
- Installation Requirements:
- Route armored cable through conduit or cable tray where additional protection is needed
- Maintain minimum bending radius of 45 mm
- Ground the armor shield at one end only to prevent ground loops
- Ensure connector connections are fully seated and locked
- Total system length must match the Proximitor configuration
