Working Principle: The module receives analog signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups mounted on rotating machinery. It processes these signals to detect the Keyphasor reference mark on the rotating shaft. When the mark passes the transducer, the module generates a precise digital pulse. This pulse provides the phase reference necessary for vibration analysis and rotational speed measurement.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in any available half-height slot in the 3500 rack
- Proximity probes or magnetic pickups must be properly aligned with shaft reference marks
- Ensure proper grounding of sensor cables
- Configure input type (proximity probe or magnetic pickup) in rack configuration software
Use Precautions:
- Passive magnetic pickups require minimum shaft speed of 200 rpm
- Isolated and non-isolated I/O modules have different temperature ranges
- Ensure compatibility with existing 3500 system software versions
- Verify signal polarity when connecting magnetic pickups
- Module replacement should maintain same I/O type configuration
