- Front panel with status LEDs
- Connects to matching rear I/O module via backplane
- Hot-swappable design for maintenance without rack shutdown
Working Principle: The 3500/42M receives analog voltage signals from proximity probes through the rear I/O module. The module’s 24-bit ADC digitizes the signals with high precision. The onboard processor then applies configurable signal conditioning (filtering, integration, differentiation) based on the selected measurement type. The processed signals are compared against user-programmable alarm setpoints, and the results are distributed via the backplane to relay modules and communication gateways.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in any available slot to the right of the rack interface module
- A matching rear I/O module must be installed behind the front card
- Sensor cables must be connected to the correct I/O module terminals
- Configuration must be downloaded using 3500 rack configuration software
Usage Precautions:
- Verify that the sensor type and sensitivity match the software configuration
- Ensure proper signal cable shielding and single-point grounding
- The module supports hot-swap, but the channel will enter bypass mode during self-test after reinsertion
- Keep firmware versions consistent across all modules in the rack
