Working Principle Pressure transducers convert mechanical pressure into analog voltage signals. The 3500/64M amplifies these signals and routes them through configurable bandpass filters that isolate the frequency band of interest. The filtered signal is then converted to a proportional value that represents dynamic pressure amplitude. This value is compared against user-configured alarm thresholds. The module also provides a buffered unfiltered output for connection to portable analyzers or oscilloscopes.
Installation Requirements
- Install in a standard 3500 series rack slot
- Use only Bently Nevada approved pressure transducers
- Ensure proper polarity when connecting 2-wire and 3-wire transducers
- Maintain adequate rack ventilation to prevent thermal accumulation
- Filter settings must be configured before alarm setpoints are activated
Usage Precautions
- Do not exceed the maximum input voltage rating on any channel
- Verify transducer power supply loading does not exceed module capacity
- Buffered outputs are active circuits; avoid short circuits during probing
- Periodic verification of filter corner frequencies is recommended
- High-temperature transducers require proper heat sinking and isolation
