Working Principle The module connects primary controller and standby controller through dedicated redundant communication links and rack backplane. Under normal working state, the module continuously synchronizes control logic, process variables and parameter database from primary controller to standby controller. On-board monitoring circuit checks running state and communication quality of both controllers continuously. When primary controller fails, switchover circuit activates standby controller immediately without interruption of process control. Module generates fault alarm and uploads alarm message to DeltaV operator station once redundancy communication fault occurs.
Installation Requirements Insert module along rack guide rail into assigned DeltaV rack slot and lock mechanical latch. Confirm full engagement between module rear connector and rack backplane. Route redundant communication cables and separate communication cables from high-power cables. Reserve air circulation space around module for heat dissipation. Set redundancy synchronization parameters in DeltaV engineering workstation after hardware installation.
Precautions for Use Carry out anti-static protective measures during module handling. Do not touch gold-plated connector pins directly by bare hands. Inspect communication cable and connector condition regularly. Do not apply overvoltage to communication ports. Do not disassemble module outer housing.
