Description
Emerson KJ4001X1-NA1 12P3373X012
Technical Specifications
- Bus type: DeltaV dedicated I/O backplane bus
- Communication direction: Bidirectional data transmission
- Operating ambient temperature: 0℃ ~ 60℃
- Storage temperature: -40℃ ~ 85℃
- Relative humidity: 5% ~ 95%, non-condensing
- Built-in bus signal conditioning and fault detection
- Supports remote I/O rack expansion
Functional Features It routes high-speed bus signals between controller and remote I/O rack. Signal conditioning circuit shapes bus waveform and reduces signal attenuation over transmission path. Real-time bus fault monitoring detects bus interruption, signal distortion and hardware failure and sends alarm to DCS. Bus power distribution supplies necessary power to I/O backplane communication circuit. Front panel LED indicators display bus running status and fault status. Hot-swap capability supports online replacement.
Application Scenarios Expansion I/O racks of DeltaV DCS in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and power industries, used for distributed remote I/O cabinet communication.
Performance Parameters
- Bus signal conditioning maintains signal integrity within full temperature range
- Fault detection circuit identifies bus abnormality quickly
- Bidirectional data transmission maintains low latency for I/O data exchange
- Continuous operation stability supports long-term 7×24 running
Material Composition Flame-retardant engineering plastic housing. Multi-layer flame-retardant glass fiber epoxy PCB with impedance-controlled traces. Bus signal processing chips, isolation components and LED indicators. Gold-plated copper alloy backplane connectors.
Structural Features Standard DeltaV rack plug-in card, installed in designated interface slot of I/O rack. Front panel with bus status LED indicators. Guide rails and mechanical locking latches fix module in rack. Rear dual gold-plated connectors connect to controller side bus and I/O rack backplane separately.
Working Principle The module receives command data from DeltaV controller through main bus port, reshapes and forwards data to I/O rack backplane for each I/O card. It collects field data uploaded from I/O modules, processes signal and transmits back to controller. The onboard circuit continuously monitors bus signal quality and power status. Any bus fault triggers alarm signal and reports to DCS operator station.
Installation Requirements Insert module into DeltaV I/O rack dedicated interface slot and lock mechanical latch. Use shielded bus cables for connection between controller rack and remote I/O rack. Cable shield single-point grounding at cabinet side. Separate bus communication cables from high-power cables. Reserve air clearance around module for heat dissipation.
Precautions for Use Power off rack before module installation and replacement. Do not touch gold-plated connector contacts directly. Check bus cable tightness periodically. Do not apply high voltage to bus interface terminals. Record rack configuration before replacing module.
