EPRO CON021

Technical Specifications Supply voltage range -23 VDC to -32 VDC; output signal range -4 V to -20 V; frequency response 0 Hz to 20 kHz; signal rise time less than 15 microseconds; linearity error ≤ ±1.5% of measurement range; static measurement range ±2 mm; center air gap approximately 2.7 mm; operating temperature range -30 ℃ to +100 ℃; signal input via Lemo probe connector, output via screw terminals for 1.5 mm² wire.

Functional Features Built-in temperature compensation circuit stabilizes probe sensitivity across ambient temperature variation; analog low-pass filtering suppresses high-frequency electrical noise; continuous gap monitoring detects probe cable break and short circuit; proportional voltage output directly proportional to probe-to-shaft clearance; CE, CSA and ATEX hazardous area certification.

Application Scenarios Steam turbine shaft radial vibration and axial thrust position monitoring, centrifugal compressor shaft eccentricity measurement, generator keyphasor speed pickup, high-speed pump rotor displacement protection.

Material Composition Light magnesium alloy LMgSi 0.5 F22 housing; FR4 signal conditioning PCB; precision operational amplifier circuits; sealed Lemo self-locking probe connector; screw-type output terminal block.

Structural Characteristics Compact rectangular metal enclosure for panel mounting; front Lemo receptacle for eddy current probe cable; side screw terminals for negative supply and analog output; four M5 mounting screw holes included with delivery.

Working Principle The converter supplies high-frequency excitation signal to the eddy current probe coil. Impedance change of the coil caused by conductive shaft eddy currents is converted to analog voltage. Output voltage magnitude varies linearly with physical gap between probe tip and rotating shaft surface.

Installation Requirements Mount inside protected instrument cabinet; use matching EPRO probe and dedicated extension cable; maintain minimum separation between probe cable and high-power AC cables; tighten Lemo connector fully to avoid intermittent signal loss.

Operation Notes Verify negative supply polarity before power application; recalibrate probe gap after mechanical overhaul of turbine or compressor; check cable insulation integrity in oil-rich machinery compartments.
