PCB inside converter: FR4 multi-layer printed circuit board with conformal coating. Core electronic components: High-frequency oscillation chip, signal conditioning circuit, A/D conversion circuit, output driving chip, fault detection circuit. Fasteners: Stainless steel threaded sleeve and lock nut for probe installation. Insulating parts: High temperature ceramic and fluorine plastic insulation material.
Structural Features Probe adopts cylindrical threaded metal structure for threaded mounting on machine bearing housing. Ceramic insulator encapsulates internal coil inside probe tip. Shielded coaxial cable connects probe coil to CON021 converter. converter is rectangular aluminum casing with terminal block for power supply and signal output. Internal circuit of converter is divided into high-frequency excitation section and analog output section. Terminal block arranged on converter side for power supply and analog signal wiring.
Working Principle The signal converter generates high-frequency alternating current and transmits to coil inside PR6424 probe through coaxial cable. The probe coil produces alternating electromagnetic field. When conductive metal shaft exists near probe tip, eddy current is induced on metal shaft surface. The eddy current creates reverse magnetic field which changes impedance of probe coil. The impedance variation relates to gap distance between probe tip and metal shaft. The converter detects coil impedance change, converts gap value into standard analog output signal. If probe cable breaks, fault detection circuit identifies impedance abnormality and sends fault state through output channel. The monitoring system receives analog signal and calculates shaft vibration and displacement value.
Installation Requirements Install PR6424 probe into threaded hole on bearing housing, adjust gap between probe tip and shaft to working range, fasten lock nut. Route probe coaxial cable with protection tube, avoid sharp bending and tensile force. Mount converter inside control cabinet, away from high power cable and heat source. Connect -24VDC power supply and analog output wiring to converter terminal block. Use shielded twisted pair cable for analog signal output wiring, single point grounding of shielding layer. Set probe target material parameter in monitoring system according to shaft metal material. Complete gap calibration before formal operation, verify output signal change with gap adjustment.
Usage Precautions Probe tip cannot contact rotating shaft during operation, collision causes permanent damage to probe. Do not pull or squeeze probe coaxial cable, cable damage leads to measurement failure. converter must be installed in cabinet with temperature within rated range. Regularly check probe installation gap and cable integrity during equipment maintenance. Do not change cable length arbitrarily, cable parameter affects measurement linearity. Avoid strong magnetic field near probe installation position. Calibration must be performed after probe replacement.
