- Massive Expansion Capability: Supports up to 32 Series 200 Fieldbus Modules (FBM), expandable to 128 via FEM100.
- Redundancy and Fault Tolerance: Features a dual-module parallel architecture with bit-by-bit matching technology to ensure seamless failover and data consistency.
Application Scenarios
Widely deployed in petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, and water treatment plants where continuous, uninterrupted process control is critical.
Performance Parameters
- Instruction Execution Speed: 0.1 microseconds per boolean instruction; 0.5 microseconds per floating-point operation.
- Environmental Tolerance: Operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃.
- Protection Rating: IP20, designed for G3 harsh environments (high dust, strong electromagnetic interference).
Material Composition
Encased in a robust die-cast aluminum shell that provides excellent electromagnetic shielding and thermal dissipation. Internal PCBs are conformally coated to resist moisture and corrosion.
Structural Characteristics
Compact module dimensions of 140mm × 165mm × 45mm with a weight of 0.6kg. Features front-panel status LEDs for quick visual diagnostics of run, fault, and redundancy states.
Working Principle
The module operates as the system’s brain, cyclically scanning I/O data from the fieldbus, executing user-defined control logic at high speeds, and updating output commands. It synchronizes with a redundant partner module via a high-speed backplane bus to ensure zero-bump transfer during failures.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in a compatible I/A Series chassis. Ensure the backplane connectors are fully seated and locked. Fiber optic cables must be routed with appropriate bend radii.
Usage Precautions
- Never remove the primary processor while the system is in single-mode operation.
- Regularly monitor the redundancy status LEDs to ensure the backup module is healthy.
- Keep firmware versions identical between redundant modules to prevent synchronization errors.
