GE A06B-0238-B605

Product Introduction This is a high-performance three-phase AC servo motor developed for CNC machine tools and robotic motion axes. It integrates a built-in electromagnetic brake and high-resolution rotary encoder. The motor converts digital motion commands from servo amplifiers into precise rotary mechanical output, providing torque and speed control for feed axes of machining centers, lathes and automated robotic joints.

GE A06B-0238-B605

Technical Specifications Rated speed of 4000 rpm; built-in holding brake; high-resolution serial encoder feedback; three-phase AC power input; IP65 protection grade; flange mounting structure; wide ambient operating temperature range; matched with Fanuc Alpha servo amplifier series.

Functional Features Delivers continuous and peak torque for high acceleration and deceleration motion cycles. Maintains position lock through the integrated brake when power supply cuts off. Sends real-time angular position, speed and rotation direction data back to the servo drive via the encoder. Supports closed-loop position, speed and torque control modes. Resists vibration and shock in machine tool workshop environments.

Application Scenarios CNC machining center feed axes, vertical and horizontal lathes, industrial robot joint axes, high-precision automated transfer machinery, mold processing equipment.

Performance Parameters Low torque ripple across the full speed range; fast dynamic response to command changes; stable encoder signal output under continuous operation; long service life under cyclic start-stop conditions.

Material Composition Motor housing uses die-cast aluminum alloy; stator core is laminated silicon steel sheet; rotor adopts high-performance rare-earth permanent magnet material; encoder cover is reinforced plastic; brake friction disc uses wear-resistant composite material; output shaft is quenched alloy steel.

Structural Characteristics Cylindrical integral motor housing; rear-mounted encoder assembly; built-in electromagnetic brake module between rotor and encoder; front output shaft with keyway; standard mounting flange; rear-side power connector and encoder signal connector.

Working Principle The servo amplifier outputs three-phase variable-frequency alternating current to the stator winding. The rotating magnetic field generated by the stator drives the permanent magnet rotor to rotate. The rear encoder detects rotor position and feeds data back to the drive to form a closed loop. When power loses, the brake coil de-energizes and the spring pushes the friction disc to lock the rotor shaft.

Installation Requirements Align the motor shaft and mechanical load to ensure coaxiality and eliminate excessive radial and axial misalignment. Fasten the flange mounting bolts to the machine bracket with specified torque. Route power cable and encoder shielded cable separately from high-frequency inverter cables. Set brake release signal logic in the servo parameter menu before commissioning.

Precautions for Use Do not apply impact load to the output shaft during transportation and installation. Avoid continuous operation exceeding the rated peak torque duration. Keep the motor surface ventilation channels free of cutting chips and coolant. Do not disassemble the encoder or brake assembly without professional tools.
